To provide the best picture quality, the technical videos are in the HD capable MPEG-4 (MP4) file format. To offer the most flexibility, they are provided on a DVD "data formatted" Disc. This allows the videos to be viewed on both HD TV's and on computers. Note:Many of the videos were originally recorded without any sound. There's nothing wrong with your playback if you don't hear anything. This was done so the video would be friendly worldwide to people of many different languages. Also please be aware that the video quality will only be as good as they were originally recorded. Older videos will have less quality than newer ones.
Directions:For your Computer:Simply insert the DVD, and browse the contents by accessing the drive through your operating system. The videos are provided on a DVD Data disc because most computers can read this type of disc. (Very few computers are capable of reading a Blu-Ray formatted Disc) The format of each video is newer than DVD formatting, and is capable of higher quality than DVD Movies. Your computer will be able to play the videos provided it has modern video playback software. Apple Quicktime and newer versions of Microsoft Windows Media Player are good examples of software that will play these videos on your computer. For your TV:Simply insert the DVD into your Blu-ray player, and browse the contents using your remote. To watch the videos on a TV, you will need a Blu-Ray player that supports MP4 files. Most Blu-Ray players do. The DVD Disc might possibly be recognized in a DVD player, but the videos will probably not play. This is because the MP4 format is newer and higher in quality. For your Mobile Device:Follow your Device's directions for transferring photos and videos to your Mobile device. These MP4 videos will play on IPads, IPhones and Android devices.
